Smule Comp FAQ - Quiet Place

SMULE COMPETITION FAQ

We want everyone to have the best experience in this competition. To ensure that we have created this document which will answer some common questions about the competition and give some general advice. For further information, or information related to specific competitions, please contact a member of the Creative Team, or your mentor if applicable.

I have a question about this round...

The Round Information is your first port of call for any information about the round. It will tell you everything about the round you need to know. All the things you need to do and all the things you aren’t allowed to do. We have tried to cover all bases in this document, so please do take the time to read it carefully. We will not answer questions that are answered in this document e.g. is acapella allowed?

Other contestants may offer friendly advice. We urge people to approach this advice with caution. Please direct any round related and competition questions to admin staff, creative staff or your mentor. In the past, contestants have given incorrect information to one another and resulted in DQ's and penalty points.

Smule is playing up, can I have an extension?

From time to time Smule is known to have operational issues. We will not extend deadlines or take these issues into consideration during judging unless the issues are widely reported across the Smule community (or directly from Smule) and they occur consistently for at least a 24 hour period. Please do let us know if you are experiencing issues so we can see the full picture across all of our contestant body.

We recommend not updating your app whilst in the process of recording your entry.

I'm not happy with my score/critique.

Judges decisions are final. You may or may not agree with your judge's decision or critique. We will not under any circumstance alter a judges score. In the event a penalty is applied or not applied in error we will amend so long as the error is brought to our attention within 12 hours of result release. Any disputes after this time limit will not result in an overturning of wrongly applied/missing penalties.

If you would like further explanation of your score or critique you may request this from a member of the creative team or your mentor.

How can I find out who is judging me?

We have a full staff list available, here on our website.

During the competition, we keep the identities of judges confidential, and with the exception of admin and creative staff out of the competition rooms to help keep judges free from bias and as objective as possible.

I didn't get time to record my entry this week, can I get an extension?

Under no circumstances will we extend the deadline for anyone, for any reason. We appreciate life stuff happens, but the deadline is the deadline for everyone.
