Welcome to ITM (Inspired Through Music). Our goal for you is to do your best, and have FUN! That being said, there are some ground rules that we ask that you abide by. These are as follows

  • You must be aged 18 or over by the 14th May 2018
  • You must be a member of the Smule Sing! app community.
  • You are not required to be a VIP Member.
  • You must have a valid LINE account and provide us with your ID.
  • Please do NOT change your LINE ID or SMULE NAME once the competition has begun. If for whatever reason you MUST change it, please inform any member of Admin before doing so.
  • You may change your Line display name at any time.

  • There are two chat rooms for this competition. Main Room & Quiet Room. You may choose to be in either, but you MUST remain in one.
  • Please respect each other. Drama, discrimination or any type of bullying in ANY of the chat rooms will result in disqualification.
    • Please note, we cannot resolve disputes between contestants outside of the competition arena. If someone is harassing you, please ignore/block them and report them to LINE/Smule.
  • Chat about what you like in the main chat room but we do ask you try and avoid emotive subjects like politics, religion and football.
  • NO Nudity.
  • Please do NOT spam the chat rooms with OC’s. Please tag your OCs with #ITMoc and your fellow contestants will find them easily!
  • ITM entries may be posted in the Main chat for other contestants to listen to.
  • Please do NOT advertise other competitions or your smule groups other than by uploading a single image to the appropriate album. You may however talk to fellow contestants about other comps that you are in as long as you do not advertise them.
  • It is forbidden for contestants to add or remove members to or from any of the chat rooms. Should you do so, you will be automatically disqualified.
  • You are not allowed to add notes, albums or announcements to the chat rooms.
  • You may start group calls but please do not invite everyone in the room.
  • You may not chat in the QUIET ROOM.
  • If you are unsure of anything, always ask a member of the creative team, or a mentor. Do not rely on the advice given by other contestants in the chat rooms, however knowledgable or well meaning.

  • ITM Staff are not permitted to join your OC’s during the competition unless they have a prior relationship with you  E.g. in the same group. Please do not ask them.
  • You may join ITM Staff OCs.
  • In an effort to promote the “Don’t smule and drive” campaign we will disqualify any contestant smuling and driving whilst in this competition.

  • Any dispute or personal matters about the rounds or any other members should be taken straight to a member of the creative team via PM. Please DO NOT voice your opinion in the main chat or in the chat rooms. You will be removed from the competition and if you had submitted an entry you will be disqualified.
  • Scores are final and will not be changed under any circumstance unless there is a clerical error (e.g. broken formula on the sheet)
  • Creative Team decisions are final in all disputes.

The following will result in automatic disqualification.

  • Late submission
  • Failure to submit
  • Submitting a song opened prior to the release date of the round.
  • Submitting a song you have previously sung in an audition or round.
  • Changing anything once the entry has been submitted
  • Anyone else singing on your entry (unless required by the round)
  • Adding anyone to any chat room
  • Removing anyone from any chat room
  • Posting notes/polls etc in any chat room
  • Deleting any notes or images from the chat rooms.
  • Changing the settings of any chatroom
  • Submitting an Original Song (unless required by the round)
  • Submitting a Freestyle Track (unless required by the round)
  • Leaving the main chat room.
  • Repeatedly not following the rules of the chat room despite warnings.
