Well, I do hope that you are getting excited for Season 2. So I’m going to tell you about a few of the things that are coming to ITM Season 2. We have made some changes, got rid of some things and also added some new features!

Penalty Points

In Season 1 we got tired of disqualifying people for silly things like wrong hashtags. So this season we are going to have penalty points.

You will get 5 penalty points for not adhering to any of the round criteria (e.g. number of layers, genre, effects etc..)

You will receive 10 penalty points for not adhering to any of the submission guidelines (hashtags, verification links, artwork etc..)

It is still possible to be disqualified, however. Failure to submit or late submission will disqualify you from competing. Failure to submit includes leaving your song private. If we can’t find your link we can’t judge you!

There will be a full list of infractions that will result in disqualification in every round sheet. These may change depending on the Round criteria. Please ensure you check the entire Round Sheet EVERY Round. We don’t want anyone to be disqualified. We hate it. Deeply! If you are unsure of ANYTHING double check with your mentor.

BONUS ROUNDS

This years bonus rounds will not add points to your score for the round. Instead each round will unlock something for you to use in every round. E.g. Layers, FX, genres etc… You will not know what it unlocks until the next round is released. There are 7 Bonus Rounds.

NO SING OFFS

There will not be any sing offs this year. Once you are eliminated there will be no sing off. So make sure you give your best every round!

GOLDEN TICKETS

This year there are TWO golden tickets up for grabs. A golden ticket will give a contestant immunity on a round of their choice (as long as you submit). If you are lucky enough to get a star entry, you will be in with a chance to win a golden ticket. Foggy and Rick each have one golden ticket to award. They will select the entry that they think has gone above and beyond, or that the contestant has completely excelled at that round. The latest you can use a Golden Ticket is Round 7.

MENTOR TEAMS

Mentor teams are named after stars and constellations this year. In round 1, each mentor will be able to save one eliminated team member, but after that, you need to give your best every round.
