JUDGE 1 This was awesome! Your harmonies in the barbie parts were impressive. I totally enjoyed this performance!! In the first part, your timing was a tiny bit slow, in the rest of the song it was spot on! Thanks for this great entry!

JUDGE 2 I had a little smile on my face when I listened to your song. I felt like I was 15 again! I loved the spoken part at the end! Your second harmony layer didn’t work 100% for me, and in Ken’s part, you hade a little timing issue. but I had a lot of fun listening to your entry! Good job.

JUDGE 1 It’s a song I personally wouldn’t have chosen but somehow it works. Your layers are all over the place, your timing is also off and sometimes your harmonies clash throughout the song but it worked!!! It became something different and you made it that way. Your diction was on the ball as was your character. I really enjoyed your song! Well done

JUDGE 2 Love the tone of your voice! It’s so smooth and pretty! I thought this was a perfect song choice for you. You gave it great energy and the harmonies were fantastic. I picked this as my star entry for the week, so great job getting that recognition! The only 2 issues I had with this entry were timing and mic distortions. There were a few times that your layers were not in sync with one another, for example at 29-31 seconds and 40-42 seconds, so make sure to watch this. Also, I heard a number of times where it seems as if the microphone was lightly touched: at 1:33, 2:00, 2:09. Other than those critiques, this was stellar. Keep it up!

Judge 1 Love your song choice. This definitely, one I’d choose for summer! However, you did at the beginning have slight timing issues with harmony joining but nothing too substantial. A really good entry, well done!

Judge 2 Love your style! You definitely can sing, girl! I did hear a couple of timing issues: at 32 seconds and 1:23. Also, there was one time when your pitch not spot-on: At 2:18 on the word “up” you did a minor pitch correction, and for a split-second, it was off. Other than those very minor technical things, I did feel like this was very similar to the original, and although you added a lot of character and emotion, I would have liked a little something to make it different. Overall, this was really fantastic, and I applaud you on a job well done!

JUDGE 1 I loved your magical voice in this. This song is a great mix of country and disco and I loved it. Some of the background vocals were a little off in 4:02. The overall background singing was really good. I just needed more creativity as some more adlibs and more background. I do love your voice. Good job.

JUDGE 2 I really like this version and your tone is so nice! A bit more emotion would have been awesome. Watch your timing and get your layers as synchronized as possible. An example is at 0:59. While I really like that you changed the melody, the impact was slightly lost but I like that you’re putting your own spin on it. I wish you had put in some ad-libs or background vocals during the long instrumental instead of just leaving all of that blank. I like how your voice sounded on the harmonies. Nice job!

JUDGE 1 My favourite song from this era. I loved your soft voice, but because this is an energy song I would have liked to have heard more energy in it. I loved the backing vocals and it made this really nice to listen to. The ad-libs were also very good. Nicely done and good job.

JUDGE 2 What a fun song for this challenge! This song speaks energy to me and I wish your performance had had a bit more energy to match the track. You were off-pitch at times and an example is at 0:49. Your harmonies are also off-key at times. I like the touches you’ve put in to make this original. Those are really nice! Well done!

JUDGE 1 Wow – I love your Voice and thank you for introducing me to this lovely song which you sang so well. Only 2 minor critiques 1) Be mindful of your breathing. On a few occasions, I could hear you taking sharp intakes of breath. Try and control your breathing using your diaphragm and plan when you need to take your breaths. 2) Your timing was impeccable until 03.27, the start of your last 3 lines, the backing vocals were slightly off from your main vocal – but this was not enough to distract from your overall performance. Overall a great performance, well done!

JUDGE 2 This was another new song for me this week, but it was brilliantly introduced by your wonderful voice. I really enjoyed listening to it. The only minor thing I have to say about this (and believe me, it is minor) is just try to control your breathing slightly. There were a couple of sharp intakes of breath which can be controlled by supporting your diaphragm. A massive ‘Well Done’ from me though on this. A cracking version!
