This is it, you are one step from glory and reaching the happiest place on Earth. This journey has been beautiful and your team has shown so much resiliency and creativity.
For this round, your team will have the challenge of creating your own story. We do not have many rules or restrictions here, this round is all about creativity. However, you should consider that you are presenting this as a performance to us, your audience.
Make this your 2018 Disney Destinies Theater Finale!
You must tell us, from your eyes, what “The Evolution of Disney” is, through your own original story.
- You must create a minimum 10 min short story with this theme.
- You may use Disney and NON-Disney characters.
- There must be a minimum of 4 total minutes of dialogue
- There must be a minimum of 4 total minutes of singing
- You MUST have a minimum of 3 different sung sections in your production.
- You MUST include 3 different songs – any song in the world!
- Your story will need to include the basic elements of a Freytag’s Pyramide:
- Exposition
- Rising Action (Complication)
- Climax
- Falling Action (Reversal)
- Resolution (Denouement)
If you are not familiar with this concept you will need a little research into it. Rick can also assist you in understanding this.
You will need to divide your production in two Acts, meaning you will create and submit two Smule tracks, one for each Act. You must label them Act 1 and Act 2 respectively in their title.
Any human-generated sounds (clapping, cheers, beatbox, etc.) MUST be done as a layer and not added to the track. This will be verified and incur a criteria penalty if not done. If in doubt please verify with Rick.
