Welcome to ITM (Inspired Through Music). Our goal for you is to do your best, and have FUN! That being said, there are some ground rules that we ask that you abide by. These are as follows

  • You must be aged 18 by the 24th September 2018
  • You must be a member of the Smule app community.
  • You are not required to be a VIP Member.
  • You must have a valid LINE account and provide us with your ID.
  • Please do NOT change your LINE ID or SMULE NAME once the competition has begun. If for whatever reason you MUST change it, please inform any member of Admin before doing so.
  • You may change your Line display name at any time.

  • Please respect each other. Drama, discrimination or any type of bullying in ANY of the chat rooms will result in disqualification.
    • Please note, we cannot resolve disputes between contestants outside of the competition arena. If someone is harassing you, please ignore/block them and report them to LINE/Smule.
  • Chat about what you like in the main chat room but we do ask you try and avoid emotive subjects like politics, religion and football.
  • NO Nudity.
  • Please do NOT spam the chat rooms with OC’s. Please tag your OCs with #ITMoc and your fellow contestants will find them easily!
  • ITM entries may be posted in the Main chat for other contestants to listen to.
  • Please do NOT advertise other competitions or your smule groups other than by uploading a single image to the appropriate album. You may however talk to fellow contestants about other comps that you are in as long as you do not advertise them.
  • It is forbidden for contestants to add or remove members to or from any of the chat rooms. Should you do so, you and your team will be automatically disqualified.
  • You are not allowed to add notes, albums or announcements to the chat rooms.
  • You may start group calls but please do not invite everyone in the room.

  • Teams must consist of 6 Members
  • Teams may change their line up at any point during registration, but their final line up must appear on their registration song.
  • Team Members MUST stay in the main chat at all times.
  • ITM Staff cannot resolve disputes within teams. We can offer friendly advice, but we are not here to mediate. Choose your team wisely.
  • Teams may open their entries from a Team Account.

  • ITM Staff are not permitted to join your OC’s during the period of competition unless they have a prior relationship with you. E.g. in the same group. Please do not ask them.
  • You may join ITM Staff OCs at any time.
  • In an effort to promote the “Don’t smule and drive” campaign we will disqualify any contestant smuling and driving whilst in this competition.

  • Any dispute or personal matters about the rounds or any other members should be taken straight to a member of the creative team via PM. Please DO NOT voice your opinion in the main chat rooms. You will be removed from the competition and if you had submitted an entry you and your team will be disqualified.
  • Scores are final.
  • Creative Team decisions are final in all disputes.

The following will result in automatic disqualification for you and your team

  • Late submission
  • Failure to submit
  • Submitting a song opened prior to the release date of the round.
  • Submitting a song you have previously sung in an audition or round.
  • Changing anything once the entry has been submitted (this includes time traveling)
  • Anyone outside of your team singing on your entry (unless required by the round)
  • Adding anyone to any chat room
  • Removing anyone from any chat room
  • Posting notes/polls etc in any chat room
  • Deleting any notes or images from the chat room.
  • Changing the settings of the chatroom.
  • Submitting an Original Song (unless required by the round)
  • Submitting a Freestyle Track (unless required by the round)
  • A Team Member leaving the main chat room.
  • Repeatedly not following the rules of the chat room despite warnings.
