This Season the first six bonus rounds will have two parts. Bonuses are optional.
Each round, the mentor team which scored the highest will win immunity for their team members (but only those who participated in the bonus rounds, and only to those who actually submitted an entry) Also a bonus entry will only count from a contestant who submitted a round entry.
BONUS 1A: GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Find a fellow contestant, find out 5 things about them and incorporate them into a song. (You may use more than 5 things) The contestant you choose cannot be in the same Smule Group as you. Also don’t cop out and use your mate, find someone you don’t know or don’t know very well.
Please tag the contestant you are singing about in your entries description. No verification link is required.
No restrictions on your entry. Any song, as many layers as you like etc…
Non-VIP Contestants, please follow the same procedure as with the Main Rounds

Once you have submitted you CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING. If you do then you will be disqualified. - LOCKING IN
A member of the admin team will comment on your song once submitted to let you know that it has been accepted. Please be patient. If you submit with less than 24 hours left to go your song may not be commented on, but it will be considered locked from the point of submission.
BONUS 1B: FIND THE MASCOT
A little while ago we introduced you to our new mascots, Bel Canto and Treble. We are loving the new additions to our family however we seem to have run into a spot of bother with them.
You may not know that ITM has a science facility where we work hard to find the right elements for a smule comp. Unfortunately, Bel Canto and Treble were left unsupervised in there and managed to duplicate themselves. This would have been fine except Sheree opened the window and all the copies escaped!
We need you as a MENTOR TEAM to track down the copies. We aren’t 100% sure how many copies are out there. We will reward mentor teams that track down the copies with some additional bonus points.
Our intelligence officer Sara tells us that they have only ventured into ITM territory. So they could be found anywhere related to this competition.
When your team finds a mascot, ONE of your members must take a photograph and upload it to the appropriate album in their room.
- Notes
- The published artwork introducing the mascots is NOT one of the copies – that’s the real deal!
- You must show the ORIGINAL location of the copy.
- ITM Staff cannot help you, so don’t ask.
- There will not necessarily be the same number of bel canto as there are trebles.
We won’t tell you how many locations there are, but the location(s) could be in the following places;

- ITM Staff Smule & Public Social Media Accounts
This is a team effort so we only require one image per location.
