This is a four round, no elimination competition for users of the smule app Sing! Scores from each week will be averaged across the four rounds and a winner crowned.
In this spin-off we will not be judging your creativity. We will purely be judging your voice. You can be as creative as you like with your entries of course, it just won’t my count towards your score. This is an opportunity for contestants to improve their basic singing skills ahead of the main competition.

- Each week we will release a round sheet. .All round information will be in the round sheet which will be available for you to view as you require during that round in both the main and quiet chat rooms on LINE.
- You will submit an entry which will be marked and critiqued (if you request it).
- At the end of the four weeks your scores will be averaged and a winner crowned. You must submit each week to remain in the competition.
- Please read the rules of the competition, and the weekly round sheets carefully.
Along the way there will be opportunities to pick up one or two bonus points! Keep your eyes peeled!

RECORDING QUALITY
Contestants start with 5 points, and you deduct for each instance of the following;
- Mic distortion
- Mic problems/poor quality
- Background noise
- Incorrect Volume levels of layers
- 1st Place – Immunity until round 4 in ITM Season 2 (as long as you submit)
- 2nd Place – Immunity until round 3 in ITM Season 2 (as long as you submit)
- 3rd Place – Immunity until round 2 in ITM Season 2 (as long as you submit)
- All contestants who complete all four rounds will have immunity in round 1 (as long as you submit)
- You MUST submit BEFORE the DEADLINE
- HASHTAGS.
Use the correct hashtags provided. There are four for every round. You MUST have them all in your entry’s description. - COVER ART
You MUST use the cover art provided – this will be posted in an album in the main competition room/quiet room and is on this document. - VERIFICATION LINK
You MUST have a verification link to prove the song GENRE. Wikipedia, discog, and google links are acceptable. This MUST be in your entry’s description. If necessary use a URL Shortener. - CLOSED & PUBLIC
Your entry MUST be closed and public prior to uploading your screenshot. - SCREENSHOT
You MUST upload a screenshot of your closed and public songs to the album in main room or quiet room. - DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING
Once you have submitted you CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING. If you do then you will be disqualified. - LOCKING IN
A member of the admin team will comment on your song once submitted to let you know that it has been accepted. Please be patient. If you submit with less than 24 hours to left to go your song may not be commented on, but it will be considered locked from the point of submission.
It is not a requirement for this competition to have an active VIP status. If you are a non-vip user, please read the following information carefully.
- You may ask a mentor to open up to 3 practice songs for you to practice with.
- When you are ready to record your final version you must message the ITM Official Line Account @var9093c at least 24 hours before deadline and ask us to open the chosen song for you. This will be opened using the ITMOfficial Smule Account.
- You will also need to ask them to close your song and tell them what to add to the description aka hashtags etc before the deadline (we recommend at least 8hrs prior). This is YOUR responsibility! Failure to do so will result in penalties and in some cases disqualification. We will follow the same rules as submitting without the correct hashtags and cover art so please be wary of this.
- Please remember people are in different time zones, and we all have busy lives, so they may not respond immediately. If you have not heard from your Mentor or Head Judge/Admin after 24 hours please message someone else.
- DO NOT leave this to the last minute.
- –5 points for not fulfilling any of the round criteria
- -10 points for not following any of the submission guidelines

The following will result in automatic disqualification.
- Late submission
- Failure to submit
- Submitting a song opened prior to the release date of the round.
- Submitting a song you have previously sung in an audition or round.
- Changing anything once the entry has been submitted
- Adding anyone to any chat room
- Removing anyone from any chat room
- Posting notes/polls etc in any chat room
- Deleting any notes or images from the chat rooms.
- Changing the settings of any chatroom
- Submitting an Original Song.
- Leaving the main chat room.
- Repeatedly not following the rules of the chat room despite warnings.
If you choose to receive critique on your song/performance, please don’t take anything personally. Wether your critique is full of praise or constructive it is only meant to help you improve and to make you a better singer.
All scores and critiques are FINAL. If you are unhappy with your result, please feel free to PM one of the creative team.
